How Rayr? works
See something? Say something. Rayr? is a place to post what you notice around you, propose a fix, and move it forward in public with people who want to help.
- 1Notice somethingA broken reader at the station, a library outlet nobody can reach, a sign that sends people the wrong way. Anything around you that could be better.
- 2Say itPost it in four short parts: what you noticed, where, what you'd change, and what you need. Add a photo or a video link if you have one.
- 3Others join inPeople upvote to say they've noticed it too, click Count me in to help, comment, and message you directly.
- 4Move it forwardOnly you can post updates on your idea. Each update sets a stage: Noticed, Proposed, Trying it, Done, or Parked, so everyone can see whether it's moving.
FAQ
- What is Rayr?
- Rayr? is a place to post something you've noticed around you, propose how to fix it, and move it forward in public. It's built by Beyond the Grade on one idea: creative confidence, the courage to try your ideas out.
- What makes a good post?
- Be specific about what you noticed, where, and what you'd change. Say what you need: a contact, a collaborator, or nothing at all because you're going to try it yourself.
- What are stages?
- Every idea has a stage: Noticed, Proposed, Trying it, Done, or Parked. The owner changes it when they post an update, so everyone can see whether an idea is moving.
- What does Count me in do?
- It tells the owner you'll help. Your name appears on the idea, you get notified when it moves, and either of you can message the other.
- What's an update?
- Only the idea's owner can post updates. Each one is a new step in the idea's timeline and shows up in everyone's feed as "Update 3 on …".
- Who can see my posts?
- Everyone. Ideas, updates, comments, and any images you attach are public. Don't upload documents you wouldn't want strangers to see.
- How do I get notified?
- Upvote, join, or comment on an idea and you're subscribed to it. You'll see a badge next to Notifications whenever it gets an update.
